It is important to focus on the fact that the interaction with bears like this and humans should not in any way be encouraged. One of the greatest threats to captive animals is when these wild animals act wild, harm a human, and are punished and killed as a result. Wild animals should be wild. Orphans can, of course, be reintroduced to the wild through release programs with some exceptions, so please note that this very rare situation is not the solution for wild animals. They are not pets and encouraging that only harms animals.

Also the idea that an animal can be friends with a human is never a reason to not kill it. Wild animals have no need to be friends with people to deserve the right to exist as they are meant to in their natural environment without the threat of humans killing them for no reason other than sport or needless consumption.
